The P&C recently purchased a laser cutter for the Industrial Technologies classes.
This exciting addition will give students access to modern workshop technology that is widely used across design, manufacturing, engineering, signage, prototyping and creative industries.
By integrating laser cutting into practical projects, students will be able to develop skills in CAD design, digital fabrication, precision manufacturing and problem solving. These are real-world skills that help make students more employable and better prepared for future pathways beyond school.
This custom laser-cut design will be the standout feature on Angus’ toolbox.
The P&C proudly supports the Homework Centre by contributing towards the wages of supervising teachers. Held after school every Wednesday and Thursday, the Homework Centre provides students with a quiet and supportive environment to complete their learning. Students sign in through the Photocopy Office and can access assistance from attending teachers with homework, assessment tasks and exam preparation. To help keep students focused and energised, snacks are provided by the Canteen.
The School Canteen operates every day, providing nutritious and affordable meals for students while also generating funds that support a wide range of P&C initiatives. Beyond serving students, the Canteen plays an important role in the school community by catering for both internal and external events, including providing snacks for the Homework Centre and preparing lunches for professional learning days, celebrations and special occasions. This year, the Canteen has also continued its valued support of St Michael’s Primary School by preparing and supplying lunches.
Our sincere thanks go to Canteen Supervisor Lisa Connell, Assistant Sharleen Ball, and the many dedicated volunteers whose time and effort keep the Canteen running smoothly. We are always looking for additional volunteers and would love to hear from anyone who can spare a few hours each term. Whether you can help prepare food for recess and lunch, assist with serving, or lend a hand with baking and catering orders, your support would be greatly appreciated.
The P&C continues to offer travel subsidies to the family of any student chosen to represent the school at state or national level in any discipline where travel is required.
