Background
The late 2025 fire has resulted in significant loss of infrastructure, equipment, resources and history, causing disruption for staff and students. The impacts of this will be felt for years to come. The disruption cannot be simply solved by replacing assets lost, it will require support programs and financial investment to offset impacts.
Purpose
Investment of funds raised shall:
Replace infrastructure, equipment and resources that are outside that covered by insurance and government funding;
Provide support programs for staff and students; and
Offset impacts of lost access to the infrastructure, learning and recreational areas – eg offset the loss of the school oval due to the temporary building location.
Enhance existing spaces that are now higher use areas as a result of the fire impact.
Achieve a reserve of funds so the P&C can be proactive in investment, rather than reactively fundraising once needs are identified.
Goal
Raise an additional $50,000 through the actions of this plan
Actions
Support, where possible, community fundraising initiatives;
Establish an online fundraising platform: creating an easily accessible location for community donations, focusing on donations from those with a local connection, but no longer living locally;
Deliver a P&C Trivia night in 2026;
Deliver a P&C Golf fundraiser in 2026;
Where possible, capture details of donors for inclusion in future acknowledgement (unless anonymity requested) - if considered to be practical, cost effective and appropriate.
Research options for future donor recognition that are cost effective and appropriate - for example: plaque in new school buildings
Provide transparency to community in regard to funds raised; and
Ensure all investment is delivered in accordance with standard P&C policy.
All expenditure is approved at a formal P&C meeting.
Plan review
This plan shall be reviewed as necessary throughout the year, with changes formally adopted at formal P&C meetings.
